“Children express themselves differently than adults. Through play therapy, a child can feel more comfortable to release many feelings communicating verbally or nonverbally. The child can create their understanding of their world through play. With gentle recognition from the play therapist, the child can feel safe to explore their emotions and find some acceptance of their own unique experience. I believe human beings can implement different choices to create change for a happier life. Therapy can transform one’s life by leading this process; opening new possibilities within themselves and their relationships with others.”
- Bambi has been trained specifically in play therapy, trauma therapy with cognitive behavioral and sensori-motor approaches, family systems therapy, grief and bereavement therapy, crisis intervention, and narrative therapy through clinical supervision.
